| Midnight.As long as I can remember it has held a fascination for me,the time when ghosties and ghoulies and long legged beasties would wander freely among us.It's always dark at midnight and the world around us gets quiet.Couples in the dark snuggle under cosy quilts and being naked and warm maybe make love.Singles listen to late night radio and pretend that having all the corners of a double bed to yourself is a good thing.When I close the curtains tonight it will make the room dark against the city lights,I don,t have a radio and our cats will claim the corners of the bed but it will still be midnight and you won't be here. |
