Thankfulness Day 7: On November 7, 2009, I met my husband (see “11.11.11: One Year Later”). He makes me feel beautiful. Words of affirmation, taps to my butt, and comments to our friends about me being his “trophy wife.” He adores me just the way I am. He is secure enough to let this smart, passionate woman speak boldly, and kind to me when I run into walls. He is always patient with me… no easy task! He is smart and witty, and makes me laugh often and often at myself. This is an amazing gift. He is a loyal friend. He is compassionate and is quietly of service to others on most days. We share the same faith, and faith in each other. We discuss, we debate, and we encourage. He chose me to be the one he spends his life with. He takes the “love, honor, and cherish” in our vows seriously. I am blessed and honored by this every day. By Just L Written November 7, 2012 |
