This was mailed to me from my boyfriend after he went a way
to college and came home for a dance and realized the love
we once had was still there. --Nicole Rizzo

     The Dance

What are you looking for, what will you find?
Don't listen to that voice in the back of your mind
Telling you something you don't want to hear
Bringing on confusion, bringing on fear

It's making you crazy, its making you spin
It's making you wonder where she's been
It's making your body tie up in a knot
It burns like acid, its making you rot

Wait.....there she is, her beautiful smile
It nulls the pain, it ceases for a while
She silently floats across the floor
The look in her eyes kills the pain even more

You quietly observer her, up and down
Her lips firey red, her eyes so brown
Her smile is piercing you can't even flinch
She gets closer and closer inch by inch

Before you can breathe, your bodies entwine
The pain is now gone, everything is fine
Your bodies so close, you're in whispering range
From that moment on you knew nothing had changed
From that moment on you knew nothing had changed

                             --Brian Booth
