You Would Be

If I was Snow White,
You would be my prince
Whose lips would kiss mine
And wake my heart from eternal slumber.

If I was a dying flower,
You would be the rain
Whose droplets fall upon my petals
And revive my quivering soul.

If I was a sandy beach,
You would be the ocean
Whose waves softly envelop me
And quench my hungering being.

If I was a restless bird,
You would be a tree
Whose branches would stretch out to greet me
And protect me among your leaves.

And...

If I was in Heaven,
I know you'd be there with me.
For you would have me in your arms,
And there I'd stay....eternally.
