The Girl

There once was a young girl
who thought it was lovely,
To have a man who was tough outside,
But really sweet and cuddly.

This girl met her man,
and she fell in love.
She felt it was right,
It fit like a glove.

The relationship was wonderful,
She felt it from the start.
He said he loved her so much,
So she gave him her heart.

One day on a date,
He got mad when she cried.
He hit her once or twice,
but she didn't understand why.

He said she made him angry,
and she deserved the hit.
He promised it would never happen again,
But that promise he soon quit.

The beatings soon turned worse,
but she stuck by his side.
She thought he really loved her,
but he just wanted her to die.

One day he got real mad,
and threw her down the stairs.
When she hit her head off the floor,
She realized this wasn't a perfect pair.

She told him it was over,
but this he did not like.
He stalked her and called her,
but she wanted him out of her sight.

Now she has moved on,
and he has left her be.
But the memories still haunt her,
and all of this you should now see.
