Key-do, Key-do!---------the call of a morning dove,
sitting on a little limb, sings to me from above.
Key-do, Key-do!---------Can you hear it too?
Listen closely. There it is! A song of love so true.
Q q q q q!---------another comes to sing.
bringing with its wonderous song
the happiness you bring.
Q q q q q!---------it's voice so shrill and light,
reminds me of you and I, and another night.
Do-we, Do-we!-------it's speaking just to us,
asking hearts the question. Is it love or lust?
Do-we, Do-we!------and listens for reply.
It knows the answer in our hearts,
it knows we can not lie.
Come-fee, Come-fee!---------another voice is heard.
Please be quiet. Shhhhh, do not say a word.
Come-fee, Come-fee!---------Just listen to my voice.
You know you have the answer.
You know you've made the choice.
My little counselors in the trees,
singly softly and talking to me.
A daily chat and bits of advice,
sometimes some gossip is always nice.
But they have never failed to see,
the longings trapped inside of me.
