A Voice

A Voice (for S.A.)

A Voice, reaching across distance and mile,
touching my spirit, making me smile,
when longings inside my heart could not be denied,
when words soared my soul and made me cry.....

When a sunset glistening of pinks and blues,
spoken words, lingering passions of you,
touched me in ways that had remained hidden,
you shared your love so sweetly given.....

A whispering Voice so soft and low,
sending my mind to places not know,
and passions not felt before you were heard,
your kisses, your hands, your loving words.

A Voice, closer still, of loving so gentle,
of sweet conversation, such laughter , so simple...
of wonders, and sorrows, and blissful content....
the mystery together, were our souls sent?

A Voice, I tell him, that mellows my pain,
that makes it all worth it to hear him again,
for the moments he captures me into that Voice,
for the times I can smile, laugh and rejoice.....

A Voice across distance and mile,
touching my spirit, making me smile,
where pain disappears, replaced by his tone,
holding me closely, no longer alone.
