Will We Ever Be?

I am nothing without you
I would die if you told me to
Tonight, when I saw you with another guy
I walked away, with no goodbye
I felt my heart get torn in two
Who could do this? Only you
With you, I’ve been to the highest high
Then you found another guy
Could he love you as much as me?
Could he fill you with as much glee?
Could he make you laugh when you want to cry?
If you weren’t in his life, would he die?
Does he think of only you?
Or does he want you in his lovers zoo?
Does the thought of your sadness make him cry?
Could he trade his wings for you and still fly?
Does your beauty make him sing?
Or if this beauty was lost, would he take wing?
Will he love you without end?
Or will he treat you like a passing trend?
If he can love you as much as me
I’m sure your life together will be happy
But if you are ever taken from my eye
I must say I will surely die
But this is not true, I know for sure
With my love for you, I will endure
As long as a life with you is still in hope
I will hold the end of the rope
Only when you take me out of your life
Will I feel the cold, hard knife.
