The Bridge Between Our Hearts

                    
                        
                Seems so long ago when we looked to the comet,
                Love was in the air that night, you were by myside,
                     A moment in time that will last forever.
                    Now you are gone and just like the comet,
                   I will never see you again, only in a picture.

             The unchained melodies that we listened to still lives on,
                  On in my heart where your love once dwelled,
              The music searches my soul for the past we once had,
                And it won't find your love there, only in memories.

         The bridge that once stood to the door of your heart has collapsed,
                 Unable to cross for the river of tears is too deep,
                 Your love for me is drowning as I offer my hand,
                 You reject it and take back the hand of another.

                Telling my heart you are gone forever but it denies,
                  It hurts and thinks I'm telling nothing but lies,
                      My love for you my heart does trust,
    Will last forever, forever and always, Believe these words, you must.
