Love Contemplation
peering down through
a swirl of white tendrils,
capturing the view
of twinkling city lights,
of majestic mountains
reaching high, higher
with this immensity
how small, insignificant, we are
with our many frailties,
shared from his mind's eye,
a view through a window
high in the midnight blue,
but his thoughts remain of us
love in contemplation
we are bound to the earth,
each of us lost in
our own private life stories
but boundless is
the reach of love,
through time and space
crossing over barriers that
we ourselves erect
as small as we are
love lifts us
above
insignificance
