For Ali

Ali

How do you tell someone
that you love them?
How do you tell someone
that they take away the blues?
How do you someone that you need them?
Just because I know its true.

I met her last Thursday,
In a class called Art history.
We were talking outside of the Lecture hall
I sat down besides her
and she made me feel complete.

I don’t know if I love her?
I don’t know if she is blue?
I don’t know if I need her,
but I know its true.

Her name is Alison,
she a Jew like me.
She makes me feel wonderful.
She makes me feel complete.

I wonder if she loves me?
I wonder if she can stop the blues?
I wonder if she needs me?
I don’t know if it is true.

During class we sat next to each other.
I never wanted class to end.
But it always must.

I embrace the time we spend together.
I love the look she gives me.
I miss her greatly, you see.
And I know its true.

After class we walked to
the bus stop together.
I asked her out right there,
but she broke my heart, too.
My heart was in two.

How do you tell someone
that you love them?
How do you know she is the one?
How do I tell her that I love her?
I don’t know but it is true.

Can you guess who wrote this?
Do you know it comes from the heart.
Ali, do you know I love you.

After Each time we talk
I still hear her voice.
What am I to dd?

How can I tell her that
 I love her?
I wonder if she has
feelings for me too?
I don’t know but its true.

I still she her face.
Her beauty is still in my mind.
I hope it will never leave
my mind.

Everything I say comes
from the Heart.
My words I hope are like flowers,
for you to put in your scrapbook forever.
Ali, you won my heart.
I love you, and its true.
