A Second Glimpse
"I love when you do that," she murmurs, looking at him drowsily through
her lashes. Arm draped over torso, legs entwined, burnished gold
contrasts sun-kissed ivory. Sheets cast aside long ago.
Soft laugh, he smiles into her hair, "Do what?" Chuckling, "You know,"
as her tingling body rolls, her eyes catch a bright gleam through
the window. Body synchronizes to body, molding, melding, inseparable.
Her lips curving upward, she thinks spoon, sleepy eyes blinking slowly,
searching out the window. Deeply breathing in unison, just before regaining
the innocence of slumber, the far away wild garden comes into focus.
Drifting, falling, she whispers, I know beauty.
