The last day we were together I could not look you in your eye
for I was unable, NO, I didn't want to say goodbye
I was not prepared for you to turn me away
You kissed me on my lips and said "I'll see you anotha day"
you walked down the path that led you out of my life
what ever happen to that day of me becomin' your wife?

Now I walk with my hands wrapped aroung myself
remembering the good times because that's all I ahve left
