The Saddest Song

Today I heard the saddest song.
It was about two people, like you and me.
The singer was so sincere,
She loved this boy...at the wrong time.
Like me.
I love you, and you said now it's too late.
You loved me forever,
And in fairytales, forever is a long time.
This fairytale just went bad,
Cause "forever" just ended for you.
The moment your heart closed it's door, mine was open for business.
I guess I deserve it.
I unknowingly put your heart in the blender,
And I guess I set it on "frappe".
As your world came crashing down around you,
I just walked away.
Seeing how you went through all that,
When it's because of someone like me,
Gnaws at the heartstrings,
Like nothing have known.
No love could be deeper,
No strings could be tighter,
No one could hurt mine like you do.
Just to kiss you once,
To hold you close,
To know you're mine...
God save our hearts.
