If You Only Knew What I Was Thinking

This poem is to the love of my life. I was at work today and had
a poetic inspiration and this is what I came up with:

You asked if I could wake up....
To you for the rest of time....

I thought to myself how lucky I am....
How I’d love to wake up to see you everyday....

I know you know that I love you....
But maybe you don’t understand just how much.
How much love is set aside in my heart, for you, and only you.

My Love, I want you
My Darling, I need you
My Sweetheart, I couldn’t go on without you
My Beloved, I can’t conceive a life away from you

I thought to myself today, if you were ever out of my life,
Honestly. What kind of life would that be?

Whenever I drop you off.... Even before your gone....
	I already miss you....

As I go through the days when we are apart,
I long for the evening when I can hear your voice on the phone.

As we talk on the phone, I dream....
I dream about how much I want to hold you....

Then when I hold you, I begin to imagine....
I imagine the future... I wonder about all the memories that we’ll make....
	How precious they will be!

I picture the months turning into years....
I anxiously wait for the time to pass....

Honey, I’ve only felt this way once,
And you know, the only time I do, is when I’m with you!

I love you more than I could say in a poem,
And my only prayer is that you realize this....
