Rain Dancing
Can you hear the rain my dear
It calls at my window
Beckoning me to dance
To laugh at the pain within
Yet this is hard to do
To lose someone as you
Never easy to do
To give up the hope of you
So I enter the rain
Let the pain caused tears
Wash away by the rain
From a face, grief ridden
From that oily black pit
Which holds close my soul
The pain numbed
To but a glowing ember
And from the rain I come
Cold baptized, water soaked
To see the future
To forget the passion
To erase the past.
