Wayward Lover

Dear lover,
How I wish the days were sweet eternity
Spent together in love's abyss
With no concerns for mortal cares

Staring at the starry night
We could discover happiness
The pain put aside for a time
Healing love our light divine

But life's cruel trick
Separate countries we exists
Thousands of Miles removed
Only letters sent to move

And this itself is pain
Torment hard to bear
But something willingly done
If your hand in marriage becomes

Our lives joined
Together as one
Half lives forever bonded
The spirits rejoicing

For the love pure
Can rise on angel's wings
Something singly never gained.
The beautiful simplicity of love
