Watching Over You

Little you know of what I have done for you,
Little you understand how much I care,
You are only a dream of mine that's come true,
I've always been close, you just didn't notice me there.
So if it seems like there is something wrong,
If I can't seem to look in your eyes tonight,
It's not because I took too long,
You've never bothered to do what's not right.
I just love you so completely,
Please tell me, how does it feel,
To be the one to turn the knife inside of me,
Just remember, hearts aren't made of steel.
I cannot lose you, my heart won't allow it,
As much as it hurts, I just can't let you leave,
You the first person I have ever truely known I love,
So here it is, my heart on my sleeve,
Last night I cried till I fell asleep - to the stars above.
If you think that this is just a game I'm playing,
Every night in bed I'll pray
You should know that I do mean every word I'm saying,
That maybe I'm your love , and yours I will stay.
I love you - I can't lie,
But please don't say you love me and not mean it,
Because again, I will be forced to cry.
