If she only knew
You called me today.
It was not like I had imagined.
I wanted you to know and understand.
I opened my heart to you.
I bared my soul to you.
An act you said.
I could not hold back.
The prose poured from my heart and soul,
trying to express in words, what words can't express.
Just words you said.
Once again, frustration encompassed me.
I begged and pleaded with you to be credulous.
Have faith that I conveyed truth.
Fiction you said.
I was desperate to make you believe.
Tears fell from my eyes.
The phone refused to pass them to you.
You said nothing.
If you only knew.
