The lies my heart believed

There we were, remember?
When I thought that things were fine?
Don't say that you've forgotten
The time we both thought you were mine.

But later came the truth
When it I very least expected
You tole me it was she you cared for 
Left my heart in ache-neglected

I told you you should go to her
and tell her how you feel
Although deep down inside I wished
What was happening wasn't real

You said you hoped that she could learn
to love the way that I loved you
Maybe I forgot to mention 
"Feelings learned aren't true."

So I send you on your journey
back to a love unfulfilled
A love that with love I ripped apart
A love that I once killed

When, in time, you realize
You've made a mistake
You will come back telling new lies
But it will be too late

For by that time I may have learned
That true love doesn't hirt
I'll hold your hand, and kiss your lips,
And then leave you in the dirt.
