Once in a while

Once in a while I am almost
ready to feel that you are 
holding something back.
At least that is what my head tells me.
And then it tries to make up 
some lies about what that something
might be.  But my heart whispers
No!  My head is beguiling
though, and very hard to overcome.
Only my unfettered soul can give 
me the proper perspective.  And
the remembrance of my faith in
your love.
