essence captured

How do I adequately capture
the essence of the feelings I am
filled with at the thought of
loving you?
It is as though we are one person
‘Us’ is a third personality
in our relationship.
Our own selves intact always
never quite independent
never not needing the other
yet never so consumed by need 
that we lose ourselves inside each other
The comfort of this
is something we could only have 
made together.
