This mood, this process

There is something deeply
spiritual about waxing poetic.
My heart has many songs to sing
and I have friends who long to 
hear them.  And so...
The beauty that I experience is
this -- when I embrace this
pain, the raw emotion that inspires
the most powerful words
I prepare for the catharsis
that is only realized when
this process envelops me
in its warm embrace.
This beauty is impossible
in the absence of the
vulnerability to these emotions,
only reachable through
the love of others
