Forgetting

As I sit with my friends,
just hanging out,
drowning away my pain,
in the liquor I drink.

I see you aren't there,
and wonder where you are,
who you're with,
and what you're doing.

I watch as your your buddies come in,
one by one,
wanting you to be with them,
hoping just to see you're not with another girl.

It hurts to listen to laughter,
and know I haven't heard your's.
You're the only one I want,
and I'm afraid you don't feel the same.

It hurts to hear your name called,
in a single conversation.
It hurts to think,
you've long been over me,
and moved on with someone new.

The tears come so freely,
when it's your friends that are more worried,
of how I am,
than you are.

I then am confused,
of what I've actually Lost!
Because all I ever seem to remember are the goodtimes,
something you so quickly have forgotten!
