Riverside Romance

An artists unfinished painting
Colors of love with a felt tipped brush
The exquisite setting of the sun
Exhibits an array of horizons stretching far
Worshipping such a painting
Watchful of its wonders
Such a mysterious essence of rare harmony
Much like that of a beautiful woman
A portrait of admiration
Brushed to envelope her soul
Capturing it in a glass mirror
The Heavens have ruptured
Paint is spilled
He is creating yet another masterpiece
A porcelain vase,
retains a bouquet of the finest roses.
Only for a brief moment do they last
Then drift away with the others
The unknown artist lies here
Here among the forgotten artworks
Down here by the riverside,
spews an enchanting peaceful dream.
Shadowing the nightingale,
in the flickering candlelight.
Here before the brume of the moon
With the blood of a needle
On a silk rose pedal
I paint the woman I love
