10 Steps

On the First there was you,
On the next there was me,
On the Third was the friendship
Neither could see;

The Fourth and the Fifth gave
The passion and love,
On the sixth came the lessons
>From steps above;

On the Seventh we found honesty
Was the best way to grow,
On the eighth we lost substance
And separate paths did go.

The Ninth brought the hunger,
The Tenth gave the pain,
The Eleventh taught us how to take
Those last ten steps again.
