It's All Done From Afar
Capturing a rainbow
Wishing on a star
Giving my heart to only you
It's all done from afar.
You smile that smile so often
And my heart hopes it might be
But then reality confirms the truth
Your smiles aren't meant for me.
My dreams at night are like the movies
No coincidence that they feature you
But life isn't like the silver screen
Those happy endings don't come true.
An ocean may as well seperate us
We're as far apart as night and day
And the closer I try to get to you
The further life pushes me away.
Whatever happened to fairy tale love?
And where did Prince Charming go?
Did Cinderella take the very last one
Or could you be mine? I'd like to know.
Giving up a rainbow
Cursing at a star
Always praying God will give me you
It's all done from afar.
