Conversation in the Rain
We were outside in the rain, when you said we had to talk.
"Okay" I giggled
as we strolled 'round the block.
"Well...," You started with a hesitant tone.
"I really don't know...
but I think we'd both be better off alone."
"What?" I said, as I lowered my umbrella.
Surely he was joking,
right then I was going through hell.
I didn't expect it, my heart was full of pain,
and I was greatful
that no one can see you crying in the rain.
