Love me?

As i read your note today
It hit me in a very rough way
It said that you weren't happy
Just being there with me
What did i do to cause this?
Is there a way to fix this?
She said hold on,
This is gonna hurt like hell.
Now I know there is no way to get well.
My love is strong but your's is weak
Is it what i did or the word's i speak?
Is it how I held you tight?
Was it all the lonely night's?
How could this damage been done?
Now I know i haven't won.
Your love was something great.
How could it have turned to hate?
I know this is short,
And I know that I am not smart.
But what did i do to hurt you?
And now I know that I can't say
"I love you too"
