Night Goddess
As I lay beside you at your place,
I look to you to see your face.
I see a thing of wonder, and grace,
Not something laid out in lace.
For you are like the moon and stars,
Just that you are not as far.
No longer in this year,
Will I shead another tear.
You touched this soul before it went astray,
Hopefully, the way we feel will never fray.
So now I look upon your face, wanting you,
Just because I know I will never be blue.
You have this heart in your hand,
May we not be swept away like sand.
But for now I must leave your embrace,
Only a picture left to see your face.
Your hand for now I will let go,
Wanting to say I love you so.
All I do is turn away,
knowing that I will see you the next day.
Goodnight my love, whereever you may lay,
And may with your's, my soul will stay.
(To my new Girlfriend, the best of them all I feel, and hopefully the search
is over. I feel I found the one I love.)
