bad bait

the old saying states
theres a million fish in the sea
ive used every bait there is
but there are no fish for me
could it be my hook is bent
or not using attractive bait
i sit on the dock for hours
and i wait and wait and wait
sometimes, every so often
ill score a little bite
but they always get thrown back
for me, they werent right
had the catch of a lifetime
for about four years
but she swam back home
and left me in tears

now im back on the docks,waiting
