What is This Love Endeavor?

An infatuation,
In my mind a total hallucination.

And I thought that we'd reach the ultimate goal,

But it seems that this love was phony.
All you had to do was contact me,
But now I don't know if this love can be.
All I want to know is why?

But it looks like trying to make this happen is a tough endeavor.
