Touching my life
with a gentle stroke
bringing a smile
the sound of laughter
a silent tear
a friendship

Long talks
down memory lane
things unspoken never before
gently drawn 
handled with great care
revealing
often more than intended
heart to heart

Slowly
seeing as if for the first time
feelings like nothing before
amazed speechless

Connecting
heart to heart
smiles and laughter
tears simple and sweet
recognizing
something real

Anticipation
heart felt
left in a daze
thoughts, emotions
knowing but not knowing
curious and wanting

Friendship
a start a middle a life time
hearts best friend

Tiptoeing softly
gently whispering
could this, should this be
one day at a time
more than friends
