the Dream

Tuesday brought me moonlight
your warm embrace and kiss
I've day dreamed since of the ghostly lights
which played across your face

Saturday I'll bring maywine
woodruff and strawberries
salacious brunch before the ceilidh
should prove to make us merry
( I'll be merry anyway )

Gonna sail around the world
won't you please come with
when we catch the trade winds we'll be free
to wander citys which once were dreams
scrawl our names upon the walls
we'll lose a thousand baseballs

To lie with you in a field in Holland
tulips do surround
beneath a windmill and the stars
your warm scent , comforting arms

Where would you girl , like to go
the tiller is in your hands
we can sail oceans of deapest blue
or we can skirt the sands
( what Leonard Cohen said )
