I Wait and I Wonder
I wait . . . and I wonder
If I were free to love you,
Would you love me too?
You say you love her still
But when I’m in your arms, there’s more
. . . and I wonder.
Do you love her because she’s loyal
Or because she’d make a good little wife?
Or do you love her with all your heart and soul,
The kind that will last throughout your life?
I only wish I could be free
To hold you, take care of you,
To laugh with you and cry with you,
To be yours eventually.
I want nothing more than to re-kindle our
Shared pleasures time and time again . . .
To bask in the glorious sensations of our time together.
And I’m envious of her, your princess
. . . and I wonder
If I were free to love you,
Would you love me too?
