Weaver of Dreams

He sees the beauty in a leaf's lacy veins
Is captivated by the dance of a feather's lilting flight

A sunset's golden plunge into the sea
For him is exquisite panorama
The play of moonbeams on silken hair
Holds him blissfully enthralled

To twirl the golden strands
Around his gifted fingers
Brings a look of dreamy contentment
To his face so pensive in repose.

His eyes……at once so clear yet introspective
See things we miss or thrust aside

He draws from these most innocent of visions
Images so poignant in their portrayal
That we, though jaded…….. maybe disillusioned
Or weighted beneath a cloak of cares

Catch hold with desperation
To these fragile wisps of whimsy

Hoping to glimpse a fleeting memory
Of a child's unparalleled delight
