Where have the dreams
Of yesteryear gone
The dreams of life
From the old love songs

I can hear the tune
So clearly sometimes
In the wind and the sea
Under the bright moon shine

Standing alone
Looking over the sea
I close my eyes
And a dream sings to me

I'm here in your heart in your body and your soul
Lifting you high over life's lonely road

Now that you need me is why I'm so clear
Holding you high holding you near

Singing the songs of love that you need
Planting the dreams planting the seed

Now soon you will wake and all that we've sung
Will be just a dream you will carry for one

A lover a friend or one you hold dear
There are many I know to wash away a tear

If you ever forget and need me once more
Close your eyes and dream for there's more in store

Dreams of the heart and the body and soul
Lifting you high over life's lonely road

Slowly I wake
Rubbing sleep from my eyes
The sun shining brightly
Time to rise

My head full of song
From a dream I had
Can't quite remember
But for sure wasn't sad
