My Love for Sam

My love for Sam is a grand thing,
For on to endure,
For some love is fake,
For me love is pure.

My love for Sam is a feeling,
As well as a word,
It's more often felt,
And most often unheard.

The word love warms you,
But it is the feeling you see,
That makes me say I love you,
And hope, as well, you love me.

The day you promise,
You'll love me for life,
I hope that is the day,
You make me your wife.
