The Stage

on to the stage he enters,
with magic in sound he moves quickly to the center,
for this man knows no fright,
his voice to them is his might,
beautiful eyes surround the stage,
their charm radiates in age,
their tender longings unfold,
as he melodically whispers to the young and old,
in there faces you see anguish as they cry,
with every sound of his voice,
to them there must be no choice,
without it, each would rather die,
his lyrics of love,
for some is just above,
the pain they feel,
of memories once sealed,
a part of them left behind,
for many, too unkind,
in the book of many chapters his voice again turns the page,
and out in the light once more, he sets the stage.
