"The Essence"

The moment I looked it to your eyes,
the essence of you rushed through my soul.
Leaving me breathless...
Then gasping...as if I were a newborn
breathing life for the first time.

My heart raced.
My blood, liquid heat.

Sensations never felt, but intrinsic.

My first thought.
This is to pure!
Have I died?
My soul left my body?
Heaven?

Deeper still your eyes drew me in.
Reaching, searching for a comprehensive equilibrium.
Time seemed to have stopped.
Seconds seemed like years.
I trembled...

It was then,
the realization came to me...

Trying to see through my tears.
Looking into the depth of your blue eyes...
(finding traquillity)

It is my soul I see in you!
The sensation that has taken me...
