Forever Near

This is where the road divides,
this is where you turn,
in hopes someday we'll meet again,
in hopes you will return.

No matter how far you may go,
for you, I'll always be here.
Though hundreds of miles will be between us,
the memories will stay near.

In my mind you'll always be with me,
no matter where you go.
What would happen if you stayed?
We'll never get to know.

It tears my heart in pieces,
that I will be left behind.
Yet, we will always be together,
in the heart, the soul, and mind.

My love, I'll miss you dearly.
My heart will leave you never.
So when you have gone,
