Goodbye
There he saw her, love at first sight it may seem, so beautiful, how sweet she
appeared, how lovely her voice was to his ears, how gorgeous her eyes shone.
He was engulfed by her, he could see only her. This young man and young woman
became a couple, a foolish teenage relationship, no one thought they were
serious, no one thought it was love. Summer came and the sun rose in the sky,
and the two fell in love. How sweet it was for the young man, for he had never
felt such emotions before. The two young lovers grew close, a little too close
perhaps. They professed their love for each other, and the young man was
content. But the sun did not stay high in the sky for long, for fall was
creeping up, and it was time for the young man to go. He was to go a distance
away, and the two both dreaded that day. And so, the young man left. The love
that the young man felt kept the young woman's picture alive in his heart. She
had his soul. She had his heart. She had him. As fall past, and as winter
left, spring came about. The young man was eager for the summer, for it was a
chance to be with his beloved again. He anticipated the day in which he would
see her beautiful eyes once again and feel her lips on his once more. But bad
news reached the young one, for the young woman had made the decision to go far
away next fall. The young man could not understand this, as he thought she
would join him as he left again after the summer. She decided to go her own
way. The young man could not accept just one mere summer with his true love
and in an act of anger, he would not speak to the young girl. Their
relationship was changing. All the young man wanted was to see her face once
again. But their love was forever lost. It was too late, the young man had
lost his most prized possession. The young man looks back, and he still hears
her voice. He remembers the countless memories they shared together and feels
her hand in his. He calls for her in the middle of the night, with no response
to be found. She is gone. They say time heals all wounds, and the young man's
broken heart has begun to mend. But he still cannot forget her beauty. He
wonders if she is thinking of him the way he is thinking of her. He wonders is
she will tell her children one day about her first true love. He wonders if
he is still in her heart. The answers to these questions the young man will
never know. His life has been forever changed by the beautiful young woman,
and for that, he thanks her. I will love you always Jackie. You have my heart
in your hands.
