I suggest this for a beginner,
My sweet, honeychild.
Go slow when you are young.
Knead and work the dough.
Good bread, like good lovin',
Should take time to rise.
Why you hidin' that grin?
You in a hurry, child, then
Pick up a store-bought loaf.
But that stuff is quick to ruin.
We just don't crave it, waste it,
No matter what that wrapper brags.
Go slow, and at least learn
to make bread . . .
You shouldn't miss the enjoyment
In seeing things rise.
