Insanity on the Installment Plan

He hasn't been hung
 and drawn - 
But he's being quartered.
 Pulled by four big horses
in four opposing directions.
 Does he call?
 Doesn't he?
 Will she?
 Will he just see her tomorrow anyway?

So many people
 giving congratulations;
 hugs;
 advice;
Do this,
No, don't,
 It's all new to him - 
is he too tentative?

 Good question.

(Don't answer that.)

This is why he was so afraid
 to start things 
  in the first place - 
Maybe he should've waited...
 But they would have killed him,
and not just quartered him.
