Body And Mind, No Longer Mine

My eyes search for your loving smile.
And though I tell them you are not here,
I catch them again and again,
Hunting my surroundings for the sight you.

My hands yearn to rendezvous with yours again.
I explain to them that you are away,
But they continue to reach out for you,
Hoping that, somehow, you'll be there.

My ears are listening for your sweet voice.
Despite my explanations of your absence,
They continue to scan the wind,
Bent on hearing you call my name.

My mind seeks peace with your presence.
I try to convince it that there's no need to worry.
It continues to obsess and wonder,
Trying to answer what only you can.

My heart is dying to feel your love again.
I don't know what to tell it to ease the pain.
It will not stop this distressful aching,
Until I am, once again, in your loving embrace.

My body and mind no longer belong to me.
They are slaves to your love.
