This poem is from a really really old Japanese poetry book that my brother found
while picking around at a book sale. I have no idea who the author is (it
wasn't even mentioned in the book)

Her love was like clean water
        That held no mystery.
        He sought where purple hyacinths
        Drift
        Above the slime.
