The Light of Witchery

Beneath a blazing sun, the visions always bring her back to the quaint spot under an ancient shady oak tree where all is clear in her mind. She knew there would only be one person who would truly understand her way of thinking. She just didn't know if she would ever find him. More in touch with her enhancing insight, she wanted to do so much more than that which was enabled to her. Everyone who knew called her the Nature Princess. She had everything she needed...well almost. The sight of lovers sharing moments together really made her heart ache like nobody could imagine.

In a day of inner despair, at a group Magic the Gathering game she met him.

He looked like he was everything she had ever dreamed about. Her visions could not do anything but prove this day. They met through their friends, and the day began to turn around for the both of them. Together, by their friends, they were known as Jamie and Katie. By the end of the day they had exchanged stares as well as phone numbers, with a smile. By the next day, she called him and requested a visit that evening. Later on at work, he came by and decided to pick her up after work. They would have shared their thoughts over some java, but did not get the opportunity. So back to his appartment they wound up.

Sitting on the sofa and chatting...a growing chance to get to know one another insued. Despite the fact that things could have happened, instead he took her home and suggested that they do something sometime later on that week. She calls a close friend for some information.

"Mike?"

"Hello?"

"I found somebody new, and he is wonderful."

"Jamie, right?"

"How did you know?"

"I just did."

"I was thinking of doing something with him tomorrow. What do you think?"

"Go for it."

"I don't know how he feels about me, if at all."

"He likes you."

"How do you know?"

"He asked me about you-like what i could tell him about you and stuff."

"Really?"

"Yes...so go for it. Listen, I'm going to bed, I'll talk to you another day, ok?"

"Alright..oh Mike, thank you."

"Sure, now go."

"Later."

She went to bed thinking about what she would say and how she would do so.

The next morning she called him, he called her back, and they had decided to do something that day. They ventured far for a good cappuccino and shared moments gazing into a few art books. She taught him a little bit about computers and poetry, and he taught her about art. By the time they found their way back to her house, their expression was definite. With a surprise kiss from him to her, everything suddenly changed their outlook of each other. By that day she knew how she had felt for him, though he was still unsure. Now she was a very expressive person at heart, and it showed with each passing day they had seen one another.

With each night he strived to make her the perfect dinner, and all she wanted was to assure him that it did not matter as long as they were together...becuase this was very true.

Christmas day, they spent at his father's home. Then, with themselves. After Christmas, rather, yule, he spent a week in New York. He called her several times on her birthday. This time from one another made them miss each other dearly. When he came back, he showed up at her door to visit the woman who was slowly holding his heart.

The next day came and she paged him in distress. Her mother had past away. Within the next few hours he found his way at her house to comfort her. Within the next couple of nights he was with her for most of those nights, into the early introduction of the twilight. He knew he would tell her when he was ready, and did just that. One night in particular, they walked around her back yard, observing the beauty the moonlight had to offer, bringing out the greyness of the tall pine trees which towered over the both of them in delight. Walking towards his car, hand in hand, they stood and gazed at one another. It was there that her wiccan heart was truly blessed with the expression he poured onto her soul. He professed his love for her in greater description than that of the precious moments of Shakespeare's favorite lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Alas, here he was. The one who could understand her like no other could. This was the man she fell in love with..the same man that her visions had told her about. As great as a fantasy...this love story was true in their lives. That night they cried upon each other's shoulders. He wanted her to stay with him that night, but they both knew she couldn't. Nor could he stay with her, though it would have been a valiant deed, nonetheless.

A few weeks passed, and something went astray. Though she finally had his heart, they were drifting apart. On one of her paydays in particular, he drove her around, and returned her things with the intention of separation upon his mind. These two lovers who had defied the stars and the heavens all of a sudden gave up. He gave up because of his inner confusion about his last love compared to her. Realizing he can not be bound in a relationship, he separated himself from her, leaving her in complete devastation. Eventually her devastations dwindled into philosophical thought and poetic analyzation. She returned to the coven of the witchery of her sisters and herself, but nothing was ever quite the same. What she had left of him was a picture they took together on Christmas Day. Her visions came ever so enhanced.

A few months past by and tried doing things to maintain contentness...but nothing kept her content for very long. She ended up going freelance with her witchery, still standing by the creed to never break her promise to her love, and never cast any magick upon him. One dreary morning she awoke with a fatal vision. One that would surely have negative affects on Jamie. So she asked for the right answers from above on advice for her predicament. Finally she realized the only thing she could do was the only right thing to do. She broke the promise she made to her lovely artisan and gave all of her inner power to cast an array of protective magick upon her love, to help guide him in the right direction when fate decides to deal a crashing blow to his life. Giving all of her strength for him to use to help him through the time she knows he will experience sooner or later. If he ever finds out she broke the promise he may grow angry, but in time he will understand her reasoning. From the last time they met, merely a few weeks ago, there was still some affection in his heart for her, as he expressed it so dearly.

He will come back someday, but until then she waits, protecting and loving...
