Home

Home.
Did I always know it would be here?
I think I did.

The first time I found it,
I was running away.
And I fell into something that
Made me want to run harder.

Home.

Your eyes made mine light up.
Your gorgeous body made mine
Want to sweat
Away these
Tears.

You always thought I was lying
When I told you I'd never done
This before.

Sure, I've had a lot of lovers.

But I've never had anyone
Show me what you did
In your eyes, that October night.

Home.

And I think I always knew I
would find it here.

Quick author's note:
I've decided to quit with the silly fear that someone I know "in real
life" might stumble upon my work here. For some reason, I can pour
my heart out to complete strangers, but I blush all the way to my toes
at the thought of someone I know reading my work. So from now on, I'm
going to swallow that, and start putting my email address with my poetry.
If any of y'all have any comments (constructive criticism is GOOD!), please
email me.
