Change

About my life
I think I would change nothing
Though this ache I feel
is the product of every 
event that brought me
to this moment.
This heartache, this solvent of happiness
helps clarify and define
where I am in the stream of life
in my own little corner 
in my own little world.
My heart stripped to the waist
awaiting examination by
passersby who take these
words like leaflets at this 
streetcorner in my world
some to read, others to
place in the garbage
most to let slip through
their fingers so my little corner
becomes strewn with the litter
of these few words
birthed in this moment.
