My grassy love

maybe you could just be mine for a little while
i won't tell anyone if you don't want me too
i feel breezes from a million summers ago
taking magazine quizzes seeing what kind of kisser i am
we sit arms tangled on your little boat back in the country
you messing around with my knotted long hair
you ask me why i live in the city
i say you'll never understand anything
i grasp the collar of your shirt trying to fit my fingers through the holes
you always thought i was so foolish and naive
your long blond hair in wisps
so negative
you'd never know how beautiful you are
or how you always made me feel
i pressed my lips against yours
colsed my eyes
and walked away
you'd never know how
fireworks
and tangeled whispers of lust hidden
so alone
i remember you my grassy boy
such a foolish love
so young
but we were stepping in eachother's shadows
it was pain
it was happiness words can't say
i'd do it again for anything
but maybe your misty cottage has fallen down
